Occupational Safety and Health Course (§16)

The Virtual Classroom course allows members of the safety organisation to attend the Occupational Safety and Health §16 course from home which is required to meet the Danish Maritime Authority's requirements to safety work on board merchant ships.

Participants:
Foreign members of the safety organisation on board Danish ships, including supervisors and safety representatives. The course is, with certain exceptions, statutory for members of the safety organisation on board Danish ships.

Virtual Classroom courses are online courses conducted by an instructor. This means that the participants can get feedback, ask questions and talk to each other as if they were sitting in the same room.

We also do occupational safety courses in Danish if need be. If you are interested in this please contact Danish Shipping Academy at ps@danishshipping.dk

Virtual Classroom-course work like normal group-lectures only virtually. The participants will get feedback and have the opportunity to ask questions and become engaged in the course the same way they would if it were held in person.

The course is carried out as process-focused teaching based on the participants’ experiences and attitude to the work environment. This is supplemented with short theory presentations and plenary discussions. The participants will also be introduced to a number of simple instruments of practical use.
