Members of Danish Shipping and Danish Ferry Association must report salary data for their seafarers who serve on a ship registered in the Danish International Ship Register. The salary reports must be sent to the Danish Employers' Association.

Danish Shipping administers the Maternity Compensation Scheme for the shipping industry. The scheme, which is industry-specific, is part of the common equalization in the DA area. Maternity compensation, introduced by law, compensates the registered shipping companies' expenses for employees' wages during their maternity leave. Reimbursement is based on the salary paid to employees on maternity leave.
