Mentorship Programme

The Shipowners’ Club is launching a mentorship programme in collaboration with Future 100 in Shipping and Danish Shipping, designed to support the development of future leaders in the shipping industry.

 

 

The programme connects experienced members of the Shipowners’ Club with high-potential talents from Future 100 in Shipping—a curated network of emerging leaders nominated by senior management across Danish Shipping’s member companies.

The Concept
Members of the Shipowners’ Club are invited to volunteer as mentors for selected mentees from Future 100 in Shipping.

The programme is designed to:

- Foster knowledge sharing across generations
- Strengthen leadership development
- Provide new perspectives across companies and segments
- Each mentorship runs for 6–12 months, with 2–6 meetings depending on preferences and availability.

For Mentors (Shipowners’ Club members)

Becoming a mentor is an opportunity to:

- Share experience and give back to the next generation
- Gain fresh perspectives from emerging talent
- Expand your network across the industry
- Play an active role in shaping future leaders

For Mentees (Future 100 Members)

As a mentee, you will gain:

Participation is based on application, with selected candidates matched to mentors based on background, interests, and development goals.

 

Structure & Facilitation
Danish Shipping will support the programme by:

- Selecting relevant mentees from Future 100 applicants
- Matching mentors and mentees
- Ensuring overall coordination and structure
- Meeting facilities can be arranged if needed
