Denmark among the World’s Best Performing Flag States
The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has published their annual Flag State Performance Table. Once again, Denmark has a positive score across all the criteria evaluated in the Table.
Denmark is one of only thirteen flag states that have “green” indicators for all the criteria used in the Performance Table published annually by the ICS. The Performance Table illustrates the degree to which Flag States adhere to international maritime agreements, rules, and regulations.
“Denmark is a high-quality shipping nation. And this is reflected in the ICS Flag State Performance Table, where Denmark once again is among the leading nations. The other nations besides Denmark with green flags across the board are Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Greece, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Liberia, Malta, the Marshall Islands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
