Danish Shipping Education
Danish Shipping Education shapes the shipping professionals of the future in collaboration with shipping companies, combining theory and practice to prepare trainees for an exciting future in global shipping.
Danish Shipping Education targets trainees employed within the shipping, bunkering, and maritime sectors and combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience. All trainees are employed in a trainee position prior to and during their enrolment in Danish Shipping Education. This dual structure ensures that practical experience complements the theoretical components of the programme and contributes to a holistic understanding of the shipping industry.
Over the course of two years, trainees complete academic courses in the following six subject areas:
- Maritime Law: Legal Aspects of Shipping
- Maritime Economics: The Global Impact on Maritime and Business Economics
- Ship Design: Construction, Operations and Future Vessels
- Energy & Green Transition: Adapting to Climate and Environmental Changes
- Geopolitics & Maritime Transport: Grasping Geopolitical Influences and Changes
