New Scandlines CEO Elected to the Board of The Danish Ferry Association
With the election of Eric Grégoire as a new board member, the board gains solid international experience. Eric Grégoire assumed the role of CEO at Scandlines on 8th July 2024. He previously held the position of CEO at Goodpack Pte Ltd. in Singapore and has worked on optimising business processes in various international companies such as General Electric and DuPont.
“I’m very pleased to be elected to the board of the Danish Ferry Association. Danish ferry services are in a very good place, with the green transition in full swing. The ferry should be the easy, comfortable, and climate-friendly choice for travellers," said Eric Grégoire.
At the same time, Scandlines COO Michael Guldmann Jensen is stepping down from the board.
“I would like to extend a warm welcome to Eric Grégoire on the board of The Danish Ferry Association. I am very much looking forward to working together in the service of ferry transport. There are many exciting tasks ahead,” says Carsten Jensen, Chairman of the Board of The Danish Ferry Association, CEO of Nordic Ferry Infrastructure, and Chairman of Molslinjen.
For the major Danish ferry operators, the green transition is not just talk. The green visions are well on their way to becoming reality. Scandlines plans to launch its first emission-free ferry on the route between Rødby and Puttgarden later this year. Molslinjen has announced a goal of achieving completely emission-free operations by 2040.
“The green transition in ferry transport is progressing rapidly in these years, but there is still a need for support and close cooperation between the industry, authorities, and politicians to make the green ambitions a reality,” says Carsten Jensen.
