Blue Maternity Café Continues
Danish Shipping and WIS-Denmark will continue to offer events in the Blue Denmark's maternity café, Parent'SHIP, where parents can meet each other, stay connected to the industry, and gain new inspiration.
In the future, there will still be ample space for open discussions, room for baby cries, baby play, conversations about the shipping industry, and plenty of opportunities to network in the Blue Denmark's maternity café. Parent'SHIP will continue after a successful two-year project period.
"We are thrilled that Danish Shipping has taken over the Maternity Café and is continuing the program. Parent'SHIP contributes to creating a network, where you can safely share concerns during your maternity leave and simultaneously establish a network within the industry with shared interests. Additionally, Parent'SHIP provides access to exciting presentations from various organizations and companies, which help strengthen parents' daily lives. Together, this creates a community that enhances the industry for both parents and babies," says Zenia Jungling, Vice Chair of the WIS-Denmark Board.

Since 2021, events have been held at the Parent'SHIP maternity café. Parent'SHIP will now become a regular offering for maternity leave takers in the shipping industry, provided by Danish Shipping and WIS-Denmark. Each event features an exciting and inspiring presentation.
"Parent'SHIP's events have been a great success and have contributed to participants feeling more connected to the shipping industry during their maternity leave and making it easier to return to their careers after maternity leave. Attracting more women to the shipping industry is a top priority for Danish Shipping, and it's only natural that we also provide excellent options during the maternity period," says Anne Windfeldt Trolle.
